TrustFax is an online fax transmission service of California-based Data On Call, Inc., which provides outsourced messaging and communication services and also operates Fax.com, OneFax, Send2Fax, SmartFax and Rapid Fax. TrustFax focuses on the home office and small office segment by integrating fax with email. The company also specializes in the real estate and financial services sectors.
TrustFax Main Features
Fax Number Options - TrustFax assigns either local or toll-free fax numbers according to the user’s preference.
Integration - TrustFax integrates through the user’s email account.
Sending Fax Capabilities - TrustFax provides two ways to send a fax: email or Web2Fax Web interface. With email to fax, users need to link their email account with their TrustFax account. To send a fax by email, the user opens a new email, types the fax message or attaches a document, addresses it to the recipient’s fax number and sends it to TrustFax where it is converted to PDF and sent. TrustFax accommodates any number of email addresses on one account. With Web2Fax, users log into their TrustFax account online, upload the fax document and click send. Users receive delivery confirmations for sent faxes. TrustFax supports 12 file types, including commonly used Microsoft applications, text formats, graphic files, Access Snapshot and Portable Network Graphic.
Receiving Fax Capabilities - When a user receives a fax, TrustFax converts it into a PDF format and forwards it to the user’s email address. An email notification is sent and the recipient can either access the fax by following the online link in the email to their TrustFax account mailbox, or opening up the PDF attachment from the email message.
Fax Storage - Fax storage is provided on the Web interface TrustFax account. Users can set specifications for storage, such as having faxes automatically deleted after 30 days. Faxes stored for more than 30 days are charged an additional fee per fax per month.
Security - TrustFax secures its online interface with username and password protection unique to each user. The company also employs SSL encryption to safeguard users’ identifiable information and to secure activities while the user is logged on to the system.
