Specializing in individual and small business online fax services, SaveOnFaxes is a subscription-based service that enables users to send and receive faxes as they would emails. Its Internet fax services are offered in the United States.

Fax Number Options - SaveOnFaxes offers the option of a local or toll-free number at no additional charge.

Integration - SaveOnFaxes is integrated into the user’s email account, where faxes are sent and received.

Sending Fax Capabilities - SaveOnFaxes sends online faxes via the user’s email provider. File attachments in PDF, JPG, GIF, TIFF, all Microsoft Office document types and other common file formats can be attached to the fax cover sheet. Faxes can be sent to multiple recipients at one time. Delivery confirmation is available at no additional charge.

Receiving Fax Capabilities - Received faxed documents appear as a message from SaveOnFaxes in the user’s email account. When the fax email is opened, it provides the fax message and any file attachments in PDF format. Received faxes can be forwarded to others using the Adobe Acrobat Reader program.

Fax Storage - SaveOnFaxes users receive online access to a secure account management area where they can organize and manage sent and received faxes.

Security - Since faxing is done via the user’s email account, sent and received faxes are safeguarded according to the email provider’s security features. The SaveOnFaxes online account management area is protected by login and password encryption.

SaveOnFaxes Pricing Structure

SaveOnFaxes pricing plans are based on a set number of monthly fax pages, whether they are sent or received. The company offers three plans: Basic, Small Business Annual and Small Business Monthly. The Basic Plan has a one-time activation fee of $20 and is billed annually at a cost of $44.95. It includes 50 fax pages a month, with 12 cents charged per fax page over the monthly limit. The Small Business Annual plan has a one-time activation fee of $15 and is billed annually at a cost of $75. The plan includes 250 pages a month, with a 10 cents per fax page overage fee. The Small Business Monthly Plan has a $20 activation fee and includes 250 fax pages a month, with a 10 cents per page overage fee. The plan costs $6.95 and is billed monthly. International faxes are charged at a higher rate, reducing the monthly allotment of fax pages quicker. All fees are based on 2011 rates.
